Realism, with Flair.

Three polaroids with various married couples kissing

If you’ve made it this far, then it’s probably time to jump on the phone and talk about your plans! My work is an act of love for my craft and you. I want to tell your story in a way that is not forced and true to you.

It all comes down to this: people may not remember what you say or do, but they will remember how you made them feel. I want you to look at your photos and smile, laugh, cry, all over again. Fill out my questionnaire so I can get to know you and let’s talk details.

What to Expect

Timeless shots merged with abstract frames of nature.

The natural world is where I draw the most inspiration from. I love finding symmetry as well as ways to use leaves, arches, and branches as natural frames. While I offer posing help as needed, at one point I will literally walk away in order to just let you “be.” When you receive your photos, you can expect bold, warm, and colorful yet natural editing. I’m not a fan of blown out tones. I want your images to be a reflection of who you are in that place and time but with a vibrant punch.

An experience that isn’t just about “taking a photo.”

I want my brand if anything at all to reflect this:  you ARE BEAUTIFUL, I mean LOOK AT YOU--but hey, even if it’s 98 degrees on your wedding day and you’re sweating your ass off, take a second to appreciate these wonderful people who came to celebrate you--or listen, just because your kid refuses to smile during family photos doesn’t make your family any less bonded than the next--and come on, for the love of God, give yourself a break just because you saw a roll or two during your boudoir shoot, when really, your body is ALIVE and HEALTHY and MOVING.  I’m here to shove that photo back in your face and say, “Look at what an amazing wife/husband/son/daughter/friend/professional/artist  you are!” And oh, “you’re also pretty easy on the eyes.”

Hand-crafted keepsake packaging for you to proudly display.

Your wedding photos will arrive in a gorgeous, hand-planed keepsake wooden “album” parcel made by my very own husband, David. David is a master of taking my ideas and inspirations and making them a reality with his woodworking. I told him that I wanted my couples to receive something really special in the form of a box. Together, we crafted the concept of giving couples a timeless keepsake with the likeness of a real photo album.

Your Personalized Wedding Album

They fit seamlessly into any bookshelf or coffee table, or really any place that you’d like to display something special. You can even see the detail of the '“pages” that are hand-carved into the wood. David spends hours making sure each one is perfect for my couples.

The spine pulls out to become a drawer to store any small wedding reminders—notes, flowers, jewelry—it’s the perfect way to keep all of your precious items safe in one place.  We also personalize the front with your names, date, and image that represents who you are.

People will always come first.

Wedding photography is an investment that will follow you for a lifetime, and I do not take that responsibility lightly.

I, like you, am not a fan of hidden fees. Travel, whether within 1-2 hours driving distance of Denver or in another destination, is included in each package. What you see is what it is.

It’s important that I get to know you.

I chat with each couple before booking to make sure we are a good fit. The photographer is the ONE vendor who spends the entire day with you.

Each wedding package comes with ALL of the edited photos on a USB + print release (meaning I make it very easy for you to share your memories with friends and family!), as well as David’s handcrafted album box personalized to you and your date.

Questions about travel?

  • Internationally: Canada, with Italy coming up in 2024, Ireland 2025 pending

Within the US, I’ve photographed couples & weddings in:

Colorado, Nebraska, California, Texas, New Mexico, Montana, Missouri, Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Massachusetts, Maryland, Virginia, and plans to make it to Washington State, Oregon, and Wyoming this year.

  • Absolutely. That’s part of my job. Each couple who books me in a “destination” location receives a PDF location guide filled with vendor recommendations, places to stay, and information on surrounding locations with the best views.

  • No, not unless you want to! There are several beautiful areas—especially in Colorado—that are right off of the road and require minimal effort to get there.

  • I have separate local and destination pricing depending on where couples book me. The packages are all-inclusive in terms of travel cost. That means that the price you see is the price that is sent over on the contract.

  • For weddings of 25 guests or less in the state of Colorado, I will assist in:

    • Creating the timeline

    • Providing a 90+ page Wedding Guidebook filled with vendors, location recommendations, and more.

    • Location scouting and transportation

    • Obtaining park permits, as applicable

    • Retrieving florals and cake as needed

Please note that often, a photo permit is required for several National Parks…and it’s not necessarily a bad thing! It keeps those photogenic areas from being overcrowded for your wedding day or shoot. Keep this small extra fee in mind when deciding on a location.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many photos do I get?

All of them. If I think it’s a great photo, you get it. Like I said earlier, I understand that a variety of angles, light, and some posing is necessary to make everyone happy. On average, a wedding ends up being 1,100-1500 photos, while any other shoot hits at around 400.

Can you help with our day-of schedule?

Yes, I’ve done enough weddings and I know how long each event should take. I generally draft each wedding timeline for my couples.

How do you deliver our photos?

Weddings are delivered on a USB in the beautifully crafted wooden keepsake ‘album’ boxes filled with printed goodies that my husband makes. All clients also receive a link to their own personal online gallery. Plus, I release printing rights for every type of session (print to your heart’s content!). I also don’t mind at all if you share with friends and family.

Will you travel?

YES.  So far I’ve done weddings in Canada, Texas, Colorado, North Carolina, Missouri, Nebraska, Georgia, Ohio, New Mexico, Tennessee, Virginia, California, Massachusetts, Maryland, Alabama, Montana, California, Tennessee, and more. Don’t forget to ask me about special package pricing for weddings abroad!

September 2024: Italy!

Do you have a specific second shooter that you work closely with?

I have a few fellow photog friends that I can absolutely rely on should you want a second shooter. However, it is not always necessary. You can bet I will be present for every shot.

What equipment do you use?

I have two full-frame Canon 6D’s and another three cameras for backup. I shoot with all professional-grade L-series lenses, and I tend to favor my 24-70mm and 70-200mm to cover a greater range. However, I like to break out the 50mm and tilt-shift for a more artistic shot. I also have full studio lighting and multiple flashes to cover a darker venue, as well as more backup equipment should something happen.

How long have you been shooting weddings?

My first wedding was in July of 2014, but I’ve photographed 70+ weddings since. I’ve been shooting professionally since 2013 or so.

Are you LGBTQ-friendly?

Heck-freaking-yeah. Love is love and that’s all there is to it.

Are you insured?

Yes, I have business insurance coverage. If your venue requires proof, just let me know!

Your destination packages include travel fees…are there any other ‘hidden fees?’

Nope. None. I write up that contract with travel fees and anything else you may want included, then I send it over for signing. It ain’t changing.

Should I do a first look?

It’s totally your preference. However, time of year and schedule tend to influence my answer. A first look will always help the schedule move smoothly and allow you to really enjoy your reception later without feeling the pull of time. However, if you have a summer wedding with an 8:30 sunset, that’s plenty of time to get portraits should you decide against a first look.

What’s one piece of advice you have for the bride and groom?

Hire a day-of coordinator. You want someone to keep things on time. I do my best to help, but it’s nice to know someone else has your back if things start going astray.

How would you describe your style of photography?

My style tends to take on the personalities of the couples, individuals, or families I’m with. I tend to shift between bright and jovial and the dark and moody. You can bet that each photo will be sharp and filled with vivid color, though.

Do you have a list of testimonials?

Why yes I do! Click here.

Do you offer mentor sessions?

I sure do, and they were a longtime coming. You can find photographer resources here.

Will you sell your Wedding Guidebook separately from your packages?

While I’m honored when anyone asks for a copy, my guidebook was a huge labor of love written exclusively for my couples. In short, it’s part of my ‘luxury’ service that I offer to my couples only. And, in order to honor the vendor promotions in the back of the book, I am reluctant to hand it out to just anyone. However, I recently wrote a guidebook specific to planning Microweddings that I plan to publish and sell soon.
