Meet Krista

If there’s something else that you should know about me, it’s that I’m going to take care of you. I’ll work my ass off for you. It is so genuinely important to me that you enjoy your day and also love the photos that we create together throughout it. You are not a number to me. What I create for you matters to me.

Things I Love

There are a lot of talented folks who can take a great picture, and I don’t claim to be the best. What I do own up to, though, is how much I care about the people I take pictures of—and to me, that will always be more important.

Originally from Atlanta, I’ve been photographing couples, seniors, and weddings since I was in college. Recently, I’ve decided to make the transition over to smaller, intimate destination weddings and elopements. Photography is not my full-time job--I’m actually a physician assistant!  But this means that every person I get to photograph gets 100% of my love and attention. Every shoot is important to me because there is no pressure to make a living. I photograph because I love it, not because I have to.  I focus on photographing people because I like them, and I want them to like themselves, too.  I love being part of a special event in someone’s life, and the fact that I get to deliver photos of that special occasion truly makes me happy.

My husband, David, is a medical resident on his way to becoming a radiologist. You can credit him for the stunning, hand-crafted keepsake ‘album’ boxes that all of my couples receive. He’s actually the reason we moved from Atlanta to Cleveland and now Denver! A few other fun tid-bits…I was a collegiate athlete and played volleyball at the most beautiful place in North Georgia, Berry College (Go Vikings!). One of my life goals is to revamp an old building or factory and turn it into a bomb-ass wedding venue and creative space. If I wasn’t a PA, I probably would have been an English teacher…they don’t usually go together, I know. When I’m not at work in the OR, you can often see us enjoying the local beauty our city has to offer, traveling, snowboarding (he’s much better than me, there), trying new restaurants, drinking stouts and sours, or jamming to early 2000’s punk rock. We recently hiked our way through New Zealand for our honeymoon, and you’ll notice all of my package names are loosely based off of some of our hikes!

Here’s to creating some memories together!

Here’s what you get when we hang together…

  • Calm and collected...but also goofy.

My full-time job in the medical field has completely taught me how to act under pressure, so you can rest assured you will be in good hands if something doesn’t go as planned. With that experience also comes an incredibly wry and dark sense of humor, so prepare yourself.

  • Organization and communication.

Not only do I keep your  timeline on hand, I literally draft it for you before the big day! I have the timing down to a science and help the day stay on track without you feeling the burden.

  • Major hustle.

I never sit down. I want to make sure everything is captured.

  • Good conversation.

I love getting to know your friends and family! By the end of the day, I’ll know everyone’s name, where they’re from, and their most embarrassing moment (and I will happily share mine, too. No shame.).

  • Candid posing.

I try to stay as hands-off as possible and let you two enjoy your moment! But I definitely feel comfortable stepping in when needed.

  • Planning Services.

For weddings of 25 guests or less, I will assist in location scouting, obtaining relevant park permits, coordinating with other vendors, and more.

I love to travel.

Meet me in any of my bucket list locations.
